The initial physiotherapy assessment is the starting point to work precisely and coherently. Before setting up a treatment, it's important to understand what factors are maintaining pain, stiffness or functional limitation: movement quality, load tolerance, daily habits and the stage of the problem.
What we do during the session
• Targeted medical history: when it started, what modifies it, how it affects work, sport and daily activities, and your goals.
• Functional assessment: observation, clinical tests and movement analysis to identify areas to work on.
• Clear explanation: I provide a comprehensible picture of what emerges and the most useful priorities.
• Work plan: we define realistic goals and a proposed pathway (sessions, exercises, practical advice), adapted to your needs.
What it includes
• In-depth history and collection of relevant information.
• Clinical and functional tests, when necessary and appropriate.
• Analysis of movement and load management in your daily life.
• First practical indications and, when appropriate, initial exercises.
What to bring
• Any reports or exams already available (if present).
• Comfortable clothing that allows free movement.
• List of medications, only if useful to understand the clinical context.
Goal: leave the first visit with a clearer picture and a concrete plan.
